Merger of Mellon Financial Corporation and The Bank of New York Company, Inc. completed
WestLB Mellon Asset Management, a joint venture of Mellon Financial Corporation and WestLB AG, has now been in operation for more than one year. Each owner has a 50% stake in the joint venture.
Mellon Financial Corporation merged with The Bank of New York on July 1, 2007. The name of the new company is “The Bank of New York Mellon Corporation”. The Asset Management business operates under the name BNY Mellon Asset Management.
